Dr. Farshad Nokam, MD, CCFP
Family Physician | Owner & Co-Founder, UR Cared Medical Clinic
Dr. Farshad Nokam is a dedicated family physician whose approach to medicine is rooted in trust, continuity, and meaningful long-term relationships with his patients.
After graduating from medical school in Tabriz, Iran, in 2001, he began his medical journey serving rural communities in the southern regions of Iran as part of his return-of-service commitment. Working in underserved settings early in his career strengthened his adaptability, broadened his clinical expertise, and deepened his belief that every patient deserves thoughtful, accessible care.
In 2004, he moved to Tehran, Iran, where he practiced as a family physician across a variety of clinics and hospital settings until 2011. During these years, he cared for individuals and families across all stages of life while building a strong foundation in comprehensive care, clinical excellence, and the continuity that lies at the heart of family medicine.
After immigrating to Canada in 2011, Dr. Nokam continued his path toward independent practice through the Saskatchewan International Physician Practice Assessment (SIPPA) program. In 2017, he began serving rural communities in Saskatchewan, where he provided full-scope family medicine for seven years, including emergency medicine, inpatient hospital care, outpatient family practice, and long-term care.
His experience across rural and urban medicine, both internationally and in Canada, has shaped a thoughtful and well-rounded clinical style—one that emphasizes listening carefully, communicating clearly, and partnering with patients in their long-term health journey.
In 2026, Dr. Nokam co-founded UR Cared Medical Clinic in Burnaby with the vision of creating a modern medical home where patients feel genuinely heard, supported, and cared for through every stage of life.
He believes that excellent family medicine is built on trust, continuity, and helping patients feel supported in every stage of their health journey through compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based care.
Dr. Shideh Faghih, MD, CCFP

Dr. Shideh Faghih is a dedicated family physician whose approach to medicine is rooted in compassion, trust, and meaningful long-term relationships with her patients.

She is passionate about building lasting physician–patient relationships and helping families achieve lifelong wellness through compassionate, personalized, and evidence-based care.
Dr. Amir Pendar Ansar, MD, CCFP
Family Physician | Musculoskeletal Medicine | Non-Surgical Orthopaedic Care
Advanced Orthopaedic Training. Comprehensive Musculoskeletal Care.
Dr. Pendar Ansar is a Canadian family physician with a distinguished background in orthopaedic surgery and advanced fellowship training, bringing extensive surgical knowledge and clinical experience to the non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal conditions.
Dr. Ansar completed his orthopaedic surgery training in Germany, where he obtained German board certification in Orthopaedic Surgery in 2014. He subsequently pursued three and a half years of advanced clinical fellowship training at the University of Toronto, focusing on Hip and Knee Arthroplasty and Foot and Ankle Surgery.
Drawing on his extensive orthopaedic background, Dr. Ansar offers a comprehensive approach to diagnosing and managing musculoskeletal disorders, combining detailed clinical assessment, evidence-based treatment, and office-based procedures to help patients reduce pain, restore mobility, and improve their quality of life.
His clinical interests include osteoarthritis, sports-related injuries, acute and chronic joint pain, spinal and soft tissue conditions, and a wide range of upper and lower extremity disorders.
Dr. Ansar provides non-surgical orthopaedic care and musculoskeletal injection therapies, including ultrasound-guided injections for small and large joints, selected tendon and soft tissue conditions, and trigger point injections. His procedural experience includes the management of conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome, trigger finger, plantar fasciitis, and tennis elbow.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ansar has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Academic Family Medicine at the University of Saskatchewan, contributing to medical education and clinical training.
Now practising in British Columbia, Dr. Ansar combines his international orthopaedic training with his Canadian family medicine practice, offering comprehensive primary care and focused musculoskeletal consultations.
Dr. Ansar welcomes physician referrals for musculoskeletal assessment, non-surgical orthopaedic management, and appropriate injection-based treatments.
